Investment Highlights
In 2007/08 the FFC invested $85.44 million in 86 new film and television projects which includes $1.62 million in project enhancements and additional investments.
A total of 23 feature films including three theatrical documentaries were financed for an investment of $48.05 million, creating a production value of $159.73 million. This represents 56.2% of total funds invested.
A total of 126 hours of television drama were financed for an investment of $27.11 million creating a production value of $102.95 million. This comprised an investment of $12.62 million in 4 x 6– part, 2 x 7–part, 1 x 13–part adult drama mini-series and four telemovies; and an investment of $14.49 million in six children’s drama mini-series and one telemovie. This represents 31.7% of total funds invested.
A total of 45 television documentaries were financed for an investment of $10.28 million, creating a production value of $28.78 million. This represents 12.1% of total funds invested.
